We were referred to Toma and his team by our realtor but had to terminate the relationship within a week due to severe communication issues and a breach of trust.

Our primary concern was that the team performed a hard credit check on us without waiting for the written confirmation we had discussed. This came as a complete surprise, especially since we were dealing with a specific SIN number discrepancy that we had explicitly informed them about.

Beyond the unauthorized check, the internal disorganization was alarming. One team member claimed to have spoken to my wife 'last week' when their first conversation was actually that same Monday. Another team member completely misinterpreted our instruction to 'pause' the process due to the SIN issue, falsely claiming we had decided to 'walk away' from the property entirely.

When I sent a final email to terminate the relationship due to this chaotic communication style, Toma’s response was the final straw. Instead of owning the internal errors regarding dates and consent, he simply stated that he had 'obviously misunderstood too.' He attempted to frame his team's lack of organization as a mutual misunderstanding rather than taking accountability for their errors.

When you are dealing with mortgages and sensitive financial data, attention to detail is paramount. This team failed to listen, confused basic timelines, and refused to take responsibility. We ultimately asked them to delete our data and ceased all contact.
